The Story of Toadstool Table
Welcome to Toadstool Table!
I am a mama, teacher, lifelong learner, and maker of resources designed to spark curiosity and joy in early childhood. With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (accompanied by an endorsement in Early Childhood), a Master’s degree in STEM Education (K-8) and training in the Science of Reading, I bring together both research-based teaching practices and a love for wonder-filled learning.
In the classroom, I’ve spent over 10 years teaching preschool-aged children, guiding them through open-ended, nature-inspired, and project-based experiences rooted in Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies. At home I am a mama of 3, and grateful for the joy of three bonus children, and the blended family we share.
I know firsthand, the value of resources that have multiple uses for multiple age groups. Time is precious — both in the classroom and at home. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to find that balance, and some of my favorite tools have been the ones that can be used over and over again, while still sparking new curiosities and discoveries each time. I knew I couldn’t be the only one trying to find these same kinds of flexible, open-ended resources, so that’s what I hope to create and provide here at Toadstool Table.
Toadstool Table grew from my belief that the simplest materials, when offered with care and intention, can lead to endless possibilities. Here you’ll find tools and treasures designed to invite play, discovery, and meaningful connections — for classrooms, homeschools, and beyond!
