The Story of Toadstool Table
Welcome to Toadstool Table!
Toadstool Table is a cozy corner for printable tabletop pretend play, early learning resources, and imaginative invitations to play.
I’m Tara — a mama, preschool teacher, lifelong learner, and artist. With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, an endorsement in Early Childhood, a Master’s degree in STEM Education K–8, and training in the Science of Reading, I bring together both research-based teaching practices and a deep love for wonder-filled learning.
For more than 10 years, I’ve worked with preschool-aged children, creating hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, language, problem solving, independence, and meaningful play. My teaching is inspired by open-ended, nature-connected, project-based learning, with influence from Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies.
At home, I’m a mama of 3 and part of a blended family with three bonus children. I know how valuable it is to have resources that feel beautiful, flexible, and useful — materials that can be used in more than one way, by more than one child, and across more than one kind of learning moment.
Toadstool Table grew from my belief that simple materials, offered with care and intention, can become something magical.
Here, you’ll find hand-illustrated printable resources designed for tabletop pretend play, preschool centers, small group activities, homeschool learning, dramatic play extensions, and independent invitations to play. Each resource is created to help children sort, count, imagine, tell stories, build vocabulary, solve problems, and connect through play.
My hope is that Toadstool Table gives parents, teachers, and caregivers cozy, meaningful resources that are easy to set up, beautiful to use, and rich with possibilities.
Thank you for being here.
